Launched at a London Trade Fair – these cards were presented along-side a foodie calendar – it went through many iterations, but was eventually printed and released as a compact spiral bound format and featured photography of the Kitchen Garden throughout every month of the year.
These images were accompanied by a recipe – designed for those that can cook and do-cook and some excellent foodie photography.
Each card is customisable both in terms of design and message.
A range of Foodie cards exist – printed on premium stock, they depict a range of recipes, from nibbles to desserts and currys to cakes most of the recipes are my own creation.
There are a number of designs in the range and some more planned. From the slightly cheeky – ‘ I’m planning brunch’ and ‘bring the wine’ to the more conservative – ‘Tastes Sweet’ designed to celebrate lifes little wins and successes.
Essentially these cards are designed for those who have a little bit of culinary cred and like to get friends round for good food, good company and good times!

When these cards launched in 2016/17 they were spotted by the trade and tipped to be perfectly timed for those wanting to enjoy food with friends – aimed at those who watch You Tube recipes and post their kitchen master pieces just as much as those who just appreciate time away from their digital devices and value an opportunity for a get together.
Planning a lazy morning and get together - nothing says it better.
For a congrats and success message - nothing like getting a card suggesting a celebration.
Again Sweet taste of success - always an excuse for a catch-up!
A number of cards in the 'Bring the Wine' design - from tasty little aperitifs above to something more dinner party.
From cheeseboards, to websites, picnic sets to dinner party food sets and easy prep cooking, I have worked on a lot of foodie start-up projects.
I have worked as a professional chef – training and working in catering at school age and then progressing to hotel kitchens, before deciding to opt for an office career. This passion for cookery did not end there. Through one thing and another a highly advanced (unfortunately slightly ahead of the times) concept was born and this was in tandem to other large digital projects. Similar project work combined highly advanced laser technology and the finest of artisan crafts in the development of a hi tech cheeseboard design.
More recently the Big Ted and Little Ted bakeware concept – with retailers clamering with comments like – ‘we will purchase at any cost’. Allowing a cake or jelly mix to be added to an original teddy bear design – as pictured. There was also a Christmas Tree design.
The calendars and foodie cards are the current foodie project. I have also worked in restaurants and hospitality – both delivering their marketing and advertising as well as front of house and chef positions and on CRM systems – some of these of high acclaim. Most of this work was to bring in an income while working on these more entrepreneurial projects.
This experience also extends to marketing for Organic Foods and alongside product development, some experience of menu and packaging design, I have quite a wealth of knowledge within the industry.
I am now an established freelancer focused on delivering SEO and Digital Marketing to large and small companies, although this experience does span omnichannel straetgy and campaigns – I am always delighted to hear from fellow foodies whatever your marketing challenges are!
